Hot Disk TPS 3500

The Hot Disk TPS 3500 is the state-of-the-art instrument for testing the Thermal Conductivity, Thermal Diffusivity, Thermal Effusivity and Specific Heat Capacity of tiny, highly thermal conducting samples. The capabilities of the TPS 3500 go well beyond that of any other available instrument to date – Thermal Conductivity ranging from 0.005 to 1800 W/m/K, tackling 10-micrometer-thick slab samples, and accommodating temperatures from cryogenic to 1000ºC. It has also the unique ability to analyse the anisotropic thermal transport properties of both uniaxial and biaxial materials, by use of specialized Hot Strip sensors in the latter case. The TPS 3500 meets ISO 22007-2 and is CE marked.

Ideal for R&D, the TPS 3500 analyzes thermal properties in various solids and liquids, including dense, porous, powdered, isotropic, anisotropic, conducting, insulating, transparent, or opaque materials. Equipped with double spiral sensors, it ensures maximum accuracy without contact fluids or fixed geometries. Each unit is customized for specific applications and can pair with various temperature control accessories. The software is regularly updated for peak performance, and accessories are readily available for quick acquisition.

Compared with the TPS 2500 series, the TPS 3500 is ideally-suited for testing of small, thermally-conductive solids.

Unmatched Sensor Versatility: The TPS 3500 offers unparalleled adaptability with a diverse range of Hot Disk® sensors. Sensor radii span from a compact 0.5mm to a substantial 30mm, ensuring compatibility with a vast array of materials and applications. This flexibility guarantees you have the perfect tool for every thermal analysis task. An automatic sensor switcher further streamlines your workflow by enabling effortless transitions between sensors.

Seamless Temperature Control:The TPS 3500 elevates temperature control to new levels. Effortlessly conduct automated temperature series measurements (isothermal steps) using either an optional external furnace or a temperature-controlled bath circulator. Both options integrate flawlessly with the Hot Disk Thermal Analyzer software, creating a unified and user-friendly experience.

Fast Track to Analysis All-Inclusive Starter Kit: The TPS 3500 arrives ready to use, equipped with everything you need to begin your thermal analysis journey. The base setup includes the TPS 3500 instrument itself, alongside dedicated measurement modules for isotropic, one-dimensional, and structural probe analyses. A sensor, insulating support material for single-sided testing, stainless steel verification samples, and a room-temperature sample holder complete this comprehensive kit.

Optional Software Modules: The TPS 3500 goes beyond versatility, offering extensive customization through a range of optional software modules. These cater to specific analysis needs, whether you're working with slabs, thin films, anisotropic materials, or require specific heat capacity or low-density, highly-insulating sample analysis.
