Nitrous oxide (N2O), is widely applied across industries. At Barnett Technical Services, we offer various types of N2O analyzers made by ABB-LGR. Now part of the ABB Group, Los Gatos Research (LGR) is a leading developer and manufacturer of such instruments for measuring trace gases, isotopes, pollutants, and fluxes. The equipment uses patented Off-Axis Integrated Cavity Output Spectroscopy (OA-ICOS) technology, the latest evolution in tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS). Barnett Technical Services proudly serves as an authorized distributor of ABB-LGR's product line, offering a range of cutting-edge N2O analyzers.

Here are our offerings along with their features.- LGR-ICOS™ GLA151-N2OCM N2O & CO analyzers: This highly sensitive quantum cascade portable analyzer offers easy and reliable measurements of nitrous oxide and carbon monoxide concentrations in a sample. Concentrations of both gases can be performed simultaneously, which allows researchers to corelate sources of N2O emissions. This user-friendly, rugged device has inbuilt computer storage and can send real-data recordings to a datalogger through RS232 outputs. This can function in an operating temperature range of 5 – 45 °C, with non-condensing ambient humidity less than 99%. This analyzer is suitable for field studies and applications such as compliance monitoring, air quality studies and soil flux studies, and wherever sensitive measurements of greenhouse gases such as N2O are needed.
- GLA451-N2OI2/N2OI3 Isotopic N2O analyzers: This highly sensitive enhanced performance quantum cascade benchtop analyzer accurately measures the concentrations of N2O, δ15N, δ15Na, δ15Nb, δ18O and δ17 With this analyzer, N2O and its stable isotopes can be simultaneously measured.
Understanding Nitrous Oxide (N2O) Emissions
According to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), almost 40% of nitrous oxide emissions happen due to human activities and agricultural soil management. They remain in the atmosphere for decades until they are treated and destroyed. The impact of 1 pound of N2O on warming the atmosphere is 265 times that of 1 pound of carbon dioxide, which means they hugely contribute to global warming, and N2O contributes heavily to ozone layer depletion. This is why it is extremely important to measure their concentrations to prevent toxicity, pollution, emissions, and so on.Benefits of Using Our ABB-LGR N2O Analyzers
Here are some benefits of using our N2O analyzers.- The patented Off-Axis Integrated Cavity Output Spectroscopy (OA-ICOS) technology used to make these N2O analyzers offers you the latest tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy features.
- With this user-friendly device, you can immediately begin recording within seconds after it is powered on, and can take the measurements continuously.
- The data is reported every second with high sensitivity.
- The device is directly operated on DC power.
